Sudan and France underline the need to cooperate for security and stability of region following Debby's demise

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - Khartoum and Paris Friday underlined the need to cooperate in efforts to “strengthen security and stability in the region” following the departure of President Idris Debby Itno, this week, the Sudanese News Agency said here.
Both President Macron of France and Head of the Sudanese Sovereign Council, Lt-General Abdul Fatah Burhan, flew to Ndjamena to take part in the funeral of Debby. They met during the event and discussed issues of mutual concern
According to the agency, “the meeting discussed the situations in Chad and Sudan’s contribution to realize the stability of the new situation in Chad.”
It said the two officials have also discussed ongoing preparations for holding Paris Conference scheduled for May17 in the French capital, Paris, to rally efforts for helping Sudanese economy revitalization as promised by France and the European Union when former Sudanese President Omar Bashir was dethroned two years ago.
