Sudan: UN, Carter Centre to back national dialogue

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - The UN and the Carter Centre have indicated their willlingness to support the current national dialogue in Sudan.

Both have also said they are willing to help persuade the holdout parties and movements to join the process, according to the National Dialogue Conference Steering Committee, known as 7 7 Mechanism.

The Sudanese Media Centre (SMC) on Wednesday quoted member of the Mechanism Bushara Juma'ah Aror as saying the UN and Carter Centre representatives enquired about what assistance they could offer to contribute to the success of the dialogue.

They also offered to organize workshops and training courses in support of the national dialogue, said Aror.
