Sudan: Sudanese, Somali presidents discuss cooperation between their countries

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) – The Sudanese and Somali presidents on Wednesday evening held a working session that focused on regional and international issues of common interest and how they would strengthen their cooperation in all domains.

According to a communique issued at the end the session, the two presidents expressed their satisfaction with the excellent level of relations between the two countries, and reaffirmed the need to strengthen them for the interest of the two peoples.

The communique was part of the activities marking the end of a visit to Sudan by President Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud of Somalia.

President Mohamoud and his Sudanese counterpart, Omar El Bashir, examined the political situation in several Arab countries, insisting on the need for more efforts to deal with the challenges which the Arab nation is facing.

They agreed to cooperate in the fight against security challenges and the threats of extremism and terrorism in the region.

Both presidents said thee was the need to preserve the Arab and Islamic culture as well as African traditions to counter the non-desired western values.
