Sudan: Guinean minister discussed cooperation with BADEA

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - The Guinean Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Mrs. Kanny Diallo, on Monday visited the BADEA’s Headquarters in Khartoum, Sudan, where she discussed economic cooperation between her country and the bank with the bank's Director-General, Dr. Sidi Ould Tah.

The discussions are within the framework of cooperation between the Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) and sub-Saharan African countries,

According to reports, the discussions also revolved around current joint activities and future cooperation between Guinea and BADEA in the different sectors and exploring means of promoting and developing such cooperation.

In this context, the two parties signed a Letter of Understanding related to supporting the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation by providing services of an Arab Expert for two years.

By the end of December 2016, BADEA’s total assistance to Guinea reached US$ 214 million meant for the financing of 49 development operations.

The total Arab Financing Institutions aid to Guinea, including BADEA's assistance, also reached US$ 1,382 billion by the end of 2016.
