Sudan: Election commission sets voting dates for Sudanese abroad

Khartoum, Sudan ( PANA) - Sudan National Election Commission (NEC) has adjusted the general and presidential elections timetable for Sudanese working abroad to vote on April 17-19 while residents in the country will vote on 13-15 April as originally planned.

General Al-Hadi Mohamed Ahmed, a member of the NEC, said Monday that the adjustment was made in compliance with a request by Sudanese living abroad to allow them to vote on the weekend. Most of them reside in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Results of the elections are set to be announced on 27 April.
