Sudan: Complications face formation of new accord gov't - Spokesman

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - Sudanese Information Minister and official spokesman of the government, Ahmed Bilal Osman, has stated that the expected formation of the long-awaited National Accord government (NAG) is facing a number of complications.

The official Radio Omdurman, in its late Tuesday afternoon bulletin, quoted Dr. Osman as indicating that there are complications in the process of formation of the NAG, but he did not specify those complications.

However, the ruling National Congress Party (NCP) is busy working out a way for satisfying the big number of parties in the national dialogue process as President Omar Bashir has earlier noted that it would be difficult to divide the "cake" among more than a hundred political parties and movements.

The spokesman denied a press report which quoted him as saying that the NAG would be declared on Tuesday.

He said, however, that the formation of the new government is expected to come up in the next few days.
