South Africa shines at African swimming championships

Rabat- Morocco (PANA) -- South Africa largely dominated the 7th African Swimming championships held in Casablanca, 100 km south of Rabat this week, winning a total of 51 medals, including 30 gold, 13 silver and 8 bronze.
During the last day on Friday, the South Africans let slip only one out of 8 events, the 200m male butterfly won by El Abadi Ahmed of Egypt.
Egyptians were the only serious challengers, winning six events, against two for Senegal (by Malick Fall) and one for Algeria.
