Somalia: Somali president receives Egyptian delegation

Mogadishu, Somalia (PANA) – The Somali president, Hassan Sheikh Mahmoud, on Sunday held talks with an Egyptian delegation led by the Egyptian deputy minister of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Idriss.

Egyptian diplomatic sources said the talks held in Mogadishu focused on the consolidation and development of cooperation between the two countries in the domains of security, health, education, agriculture, trade and social development.

Speaking during the talks, the Somali president praised the historic ties between Somalia and Egypt and the efforts made by the two parties to strengthen them.

The Egyptian minister said Egypt would help rebuild Somalia.
