Dakar- Senegal (PANA) -- The director general of Senegalese Radio and Television (RTS) Mactar Silla on Monday signed an exchange programme agreement with the managing director of Africable Network, Ismaila Sidibe.
Under the accord the two sides also exchange of programmes under which Africable Network would retransmit RTS programmes in Africa, the Senegalese News Agency (APS) reported.
The two sides agreed to co-produce two monthly programmes in partnership with other national televisions and to organise the "Senegalese week" event in Africable.
They are expressed their intention to work towards a continental network designed, funded, put in place by Africans and retransmitted by all cabled networks in Africa, Europe, America and the Caribbean".
Africable Network would supply cooking, fashion, drama, music, sports and entertainment programmes as well as magazines, and documentaries to RTS.
Africable Network is a Southern channel based in Paris, whose programmes are re-transmitted by the Association of private television operators in Africa, which is active in 25 countries.
