Rwanda: President Kagame in Luanda for Angolan president's inauguration

Kigali, Rwanda (PANA) - Rwanda President Paul Kagame is among African leaders due to attend the inauguration of Angola's newly elected President João Lourenço on Tuesday in Luanda, Rwanda Television reported on Monday.

It said President Kagame has already arrived in Luanda at the invitation from his counterpart in the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between the two countries.

Mr. Lourenço of the ruling People’s Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) has been elected as the country's third president. He succeeds José Eduardo dos Santos who was elected president of the MPLA in September 1979 when he took office as President of Angola.
