Respect Dakar accord, civil society urges Bissau politicians

Bissau- Guinea Bissau (PANA) -- The Permanent Co-ordination of Civil society organisations in Guinea Bissau on Thursday said it was closely monitoring to ensure that the three leading candidates during the 19 June presidential election respected the commitments they made in Dakar, Senegal.
In a press release issued in Bissau Thursday, the civil society welcomed the decisions taken by Kumba Yala, Malam Bacai Sanha and Joao Bernardo "Nino" Vieira, in a meeting with Senegalese President, Abdoulaye Wade, to recognise the election results.
Meanwhile, the civil society appealed to all Guinea-Bissau citizens to ensure that peace and serenity prevail as the transitional administration comes to an end.
