Ravalomanana seeks African-Asian partnership

Antananarivo- Madagascar (PANA) -- Economic cooperation between Asia and Africa should henceforth target the establishment of a strategic partnership, Malagasy President Marc Ravalomanana suggested at the 3rd Tokyo International Conference for Africa's Development (TICAD III) that ended Wednesday in Tokyo.
In an address Tuesday at TICAD III, Ravalomanana said African products should first have access to Asian markets "if we really want to make the black continent benefit from the opportunities offered by the powerful Asian economies.
