President Bashir to brief AU on national unity govt

Khartoum- Sudan (PANA) -- President Omar Hassan Al-Bashir will address the African Union summit on the political developments in Sudan, especially after the comprehensive peace agreement signed last January in Nairobi and ongoing efforts to form a broad-based government of national unity in the country, official sources said here Monday.
African leaders at their two-day summit are expected to discuss political and economic issues, conflicts and civil wars in the continent.
The AU summit will also discuss a report of AU Security and Peace Council on the process of reforming the United Nations.
Already AU foreign ministers have agreed to seek two permanent seats and five rotating seats for the continent on an expanded UN Security Council.
