President Barrow redeploys Gambia’s Civil Service Chief, Interior Minister

Banjul, Gambia (PANA) – Gambian President, Adama Barrow, on Monday redeployed Mr Dawda D. Fadera, the Secretary General and Head of Civil Service, to the country’s diplomatic mission in Washington, the United State of America.  

According to Amie Bojang Cissoho, the presidential press officer, Mr. Fadera will now serve as Gambia’s Ambassador to the US.

Mr. Fadera has now been replaced by Habib Saihou Drammeh, Gambia’s Interior Minister (till January 8) as the new Secretary General and Head of Civil Service.

Meanwhile, Mr Ebrima M. Ballow, a former regional governor, has been appointed Minister of Interior, replacing Mr. Drammeh.

In the meantime, Mr Bakary Sanyang has been appointed Governor, Western Region, to replace Mr. Mballow.
