President Barrow appoints new Interior minister

Banjul, Gambia (PANA) – Gambian President Adama Barrow on Monday named Habib Saihou Drammeh as Minister of Interior.

Until his appointment, Mr Drammeh was General Manager of Gambia Transport Service Company (GTSC). He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Corporate Strategy and Industrial Policy from Maastricht School of Management in The Netherlands.

He also holds a post-graduate Diploma in Management from the University of Manchester in the UK and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Education/Geography from the University of Nigeria.

Mr Drammeh has experience in diverse areas such as human resources management, strategic management, tourism management and marketing, business feasibility studies.  

His appointment follows the sacking of his predecessor Mai Ahmed Fatty.

According to a statement issued by the  Director of Press and Public Relations at the Office of the President, Mrs Amie Bojang Sissoho, the new Interior Minister will take the oath of office on Wednesday.
