Ouagadougou hosts CISL forum

Ouagadougou- Burkina Faso (PANA) -- The French-speaking branch of the International Free Unions Confederation (CISL) begins a three-day forum on union claims here Thursday, a release announced Wednesday.
The forum, which will hold in conjunction with the Intergovernmental Francophonie Organisation (AIF), is part of the build up to the next Francophonie summit slated for November in Ouagadougou.
At the Ouagadougou summit, the federation will push for recognition as official dialoguing partner for political bodies in the International Francophonie Organisation (OIF) in the same capacity as the Francophone Business Forum (FFA).
Created in 1987, the French speaking branch of CISL groups 68 trade unions from 41 countries, representing over nine million workers in French-speaking countries.
