Opposition MP accuses Guinea-Bissau leader of double nationality

Bissau- Guinea Bissau (PANA) -- Guinea Bissau Member of Parliament Liuna Nandiba of the opposition Party for Social Revival (PRS) is demanding the resignation of President Henrique Perreira Rosa, claiming that he has double nationality.
"He has double nationality.
He has both Bissau Guinean and Portuguese nationalities, which is unconstitutional," Nandiba claimed during the 5th day of debates under way in Parliament.
Nandiba's claim followed that of another PRS representative, Sola Nkilin Na Bitchita, who accused Perreira Rosa on 30 June of having two nationalities.
The allegations are part of the mounting complaints of irregularities that marred the March 2004 presidential and parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, MP Nbunhe Ncada has suggested the establishment of a commission of inquiry to identify all persons responsible for irregularities noted in the poll of March 2004.
