OIF secretary general visits Madagascar

Paris- France (PANA) -- The Secretary General of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF) Abdou Diouf left Paris Friday for Antananarivo at the beginning of a five-day working visit to Madagascar, official sources said here.
Diouf will on Monday chair the session of the Standing Council of the Francophonie (CPF) expected to group 63 heads of OIF member states and governments in the Malagasy capital.
He will take part in the 22-23 November Ministerial Conference of the Francophonie (CMF), which will discuss the most important reform initiated by the organisation since its creation in 1970 in Niamey, Niger.
On the sidelines of the Conference, Diouf will hold talks with several officials, including Malagasy president Marc Ravalomanana.
