OIF says preparation on track for summit

Ouagadougou- Burkina Faso (PANA) -- The Secretary General of the International Francophonie Organisation (OIF) Abdou Diouf said here Monday that he was "totally satisfied" with preparations for the 10th Francophonie Summit slated for 27-28 November in Ouagadougou.
Speaking at the end of an audience with President Blaise Compaore, Diouf said he was confident that the summit would be successfully organised.
"After meeting with the organising committee, I think I will not need to come back here before the summit.
I am totally assured," he declared.
Diouf who arrived here on Sunday evening, had a working session Monday morning with Foreign Affairs minister Youssouf Ouédraogo.
He met with the members of the national organising committee of the Francophonie summit (CNOF).
He has been closely monitoring preparations for the summit, which will convene on the theme "The Francophonie, cohesive space for sustainable development.
