Paris- France (PANA) -- The secretary-general of the International Organisation of the Francophonie (OIF) Abdou Diouf, begins a three-day working visit of Cameroon Thursday, reliable sources said here Monday.
While in the country, Diouf will hold talks President Paul Biya before receiving an honorary degree from the University of Yaounde on 15 October.
The former Senegalese president will also meet Cameroonian Prime Minister Ephraim Inoni and foreign minister François-Xavier Goubeyon.
Cameroon, which is both Francophone and Anglophone, only joined the OIF in 1991.
Yaounde hosts the central African Inter-University Agency of the Francophonie (AUF) as well as its numeric campus financed by the OIF.
