Kinshasa- DR Congo (PANA) -- The Francophonie International Organisation (OIF) has appointed Congolese Josette Shaji a Tshibuila as Director of the West African Regional Bureau of the Francophonie University Organisation (AUF) headquartered in Dakar, Senegal.
"This appointment is the fruit of the commitment and dynamism of DR Congo within this important institution," said a statement sent to PANA Wednesday by the Francophonie division of the Congolese foreign ministry.
It recalled the admission of two new Congolese higher education institutions into the AUF, namely the University of Bunia and the Catholic Faculties of Kinshasa, as well as the admission on 1 November of the city of Bandundu into the International Association of Francophone mayors, as among inroads DR Cong has made in the OIF.
Mrs Tshibuila was Director General of the Institute of National Museums in Kinshasa and Lecturer at the University of Kinshasa (UNIKIN).
She has also lectured at the Léopold Sedar Senghor University, the 'Université libre' of Brussels and in Paris I, Sorbonne.
