Officials discuss CEN-SAD 2008 Games

Tripoli- Libya (PANA) -- Mohamed Al-Madani Al-Azhari, Secretary General of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), held talks here Wednesday with visiting Niger Youth and Sports Minister, Abdourahmane Seydou, on preparations for the first edition of CEN-SAD Games slated for 2008 in Niamey, the Niger capital.
The Niger Minister promised that the Games would be successful thanks to the efforts by Libyan leader Moammar Kadhafi, current CEN-SAD chairman, who supports youths in the region.
He said the Games, approved by the CED-SAD 1-2 June summit in Tripoli, would provide an opportunity for the youths to exhibit their talents and stills.
In an unrelated development, diplomatic sources said the Chadian Culture Minister, Lucienne Dillah, arrived in Tripoli Wednesday on a Libyan visit, but no further details were available.
