Nigerian club owner stabbed to death by boyfriend, who then jumps to his death

Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) - A double tragedy was recorded in Nigeria's economic capital city of Lagos on Friday, when a popular night club owner was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, who then jumped to his death from the lady's 10th floor apartment in an escape-attempt-gone-awry.

The private Punch newspaper reported on Sunday that the SQ club owner, identified as Susan Yusuf, was stabbed by her boyfried, Idris Mohammed, in the popular 1004 flats in high-brow Victoria Island

As neighbours, who heard her cries, rushed to the apartment, they found her in a pool of her own blood, stabbed several times in the stomach. The motive for the attack was not known,

As the neighbours tried to apprehend Mohammed, he jumped from the 10th floor apartment and died after hitting his head on the ground.

Lagos police spokesman Jaiyeoba Joseph confirmed the tragedy, which he called ''a case of murder and suicide.''
