Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) - Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan will attend the international conference on Somalia, scheduled to hold at Lancaster House in London Thursday, the presidency said in a statement.
“The conference, to be attended by heads of governments or their representatives from 40 countries as well as international organisations, will address the issues of security, piracy, counter-terrorism, political processes, humanitarian challenges and the need for global coordination and handling of long-standing Somalia crises,” the statement said.
The British government is hosting the one-day conference.
President Jonathan, who will leave Abuja Wednesday, will also hold bilateral talks with British Prime Minister David Cameron, the statement said.
