Nigeria's President leaves for AU summit

Abuja, Nigeria (PANA) - Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan was due to leave Abuja Wednesday for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, to attend the 30 June-1 July 17th AU summit, the presidency announced in a statement here.

While in Malabo, the Nigerian leader will also participate in the NEPAD Heads of State and Government's meeting, as well as the African Peer Review Forum.

He will also meet with members of the Nigerian community in Equatorial Guinea.

The theme of the AU Summit is ''Accelerating Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development'', which is aimed at providing African Youth with the skills to excel and contribute to peace and security, socio-economic growth and sustainable development
