Nigeria: ECOWAS leaders to meet Japanese PM in Abidjan

Lagos, Nigeria (PANA) - ECOWAS leaders are due to meet with Japanese Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, in Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire, Friday, the Nigerian presidency has announced, while saying President Goodluck Jonathan will be among the leaders.

Abe will arrive in the Ivorian commercial city Friday at the head of a high-powered Japanese Trade Mission, targeting expanded business opportunities in Africa.

The meeting is a follow-up to the Fifth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD V), held in June last year which discussed trade, investment, peace and stability in Africa.
