Niger president heads for Lusaka

Niamey- Niger (PANA) -- President Mamadou Tandja of Niger left Niamey Sunday for Lusaka, Zambia, where he will take part in the 37th OAU Summit, a State radio broadcast said.
Tandja's suite includes, among other officials, Foreign Affairs and Cooperation minister Nassirou Sabo.
Ahead of the summit opening on Monday, the OAU Council of Ministers late Saturday wound up a preparatory meeting in which they examined several issues, including the situation in DR Congo and conflicts involving countries of the Mano River Basin - Guinea Conakry, Sierra Leone and Liberia.
