Tripoli- Libya (PANA) -- A delegation of the Union for Democracy and Social Progress (UDPS) of Niger has met Libyan leader, Moammar Kadhafi, in Tripoli and expressed gratitude to him for his tireless efforts for peace and security in CEN-SAD ((Economic Community of Sahelo-Sahelian countries).
According to official Libyan sources, members of the delegation emphasised willingness to Kadhafi to contribute to the promotion and consolidation of relations between Niamey and Tripoli.
They invited him to visit the city of Agadès (about 900 km Northeast of Niamey) to organise a great religious event there, like a similar one he participated in last April in Timbuktu (Northern Mali) on the occasion of the commemoration of the birth of Prophet Mohamed.
"Libyan revolutionary leader is the combatant that is strongly fighting against injustice and led Libya to the place it occupies today within the international community," according to the head of the UDPS delegation which met Kadhafi Tuesday in Tripoli.
The delegation also asked for the execution of the charter of the popular and social league of Great Sahara tribes published during the 10 April meeting in Timbuktu.
