Niamey to organise Francophonie Week

Niamey- Niger (PANA) -- A national Francophonie week has been slated here for 14-20 February, in prelude to the 5th Francophonie Games billed for Niger in December this year.
According to a communiqué issued Thursday by the government, the week would be personally launched by the President of Niger.
Earmarked for the week are meetings between Prime Minister Hama Amadou and the youth, the local press, women's and socio- professional organisations, and the Niamey City Council.
Sporting activities and a national public sanitation day are also would also highlight the week, that would bring together some 3,000 youths from more than 50 French-speaking countries.
