Namibia among Africa's best 20

Windhoek- Namibia (PANA) -- Notwithstanding the country's relative inactivity in the last two months, Namibia still ranks among the world's top 100 in the game of football.
According to the latest International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) rankings released Wednesday, Namibia is 97th in the world and 20th on the African continent.
Even so, the country has slid 10 places down the rankings since December 2000.
World and European Champions France are still on top, with Brazil and Argentina in second and third places respectively.
Italy is fourth while emerging powerhouse, Portugal, ranks fifth.
Tunisia still rules African football, ranking first on the continent, followed by South Africa, Morocco, Cameroon and Nigeria in that order.
The FIFA rankings are updated every month with countries receiving points on account of the number of matches played during a particular period.
Countries that do well, especially away from home, stand a better chance of moving up the ladder, while those that fail to deliver are marked down.
FIFA's ranking covers 203 countries including 52 in Africa.
