Morocco's Net International Reserves up 5.1%

Rabat, Morocco (PANA) - Morocco's net international reserves as at 24 August amounted to 226.2 billion dirhams (US$24.3 billion), up 5.1% year-on-year, Morocco's Central Bank has said in a statement published on Tuesday.

This is equivalent of six months of imports, the Central Bank said, adding that during the week of 24-29 August the Central Bank injected 86.8 billion dirhams into the system.

During the same period, the dirham appreciated by 1.67% against the US Dollar and depreciated by 0.96% against the Euro.
