Miss Cameroon stripped of her crown

Yaounde- Cameroon (PANA) -- Agathe-Pascaline Nomgne, who emerged Miss Cameroon 2002 on 11 August, has been stripped of the title and replaced by the first runner-up, organisers of the Beauty pageant said Tuesday in Yaounde.
Nomgne, 21, was accused of making "malicious public statements" on an international radio station, against the Pageant's organising Committee.
She was also alleged to have "repeatedly violated the rules of the competition and of not respecting her commitments.
" Nomgne is a second-year law student at the University of Yaounde II.
Informed sources said her family plans to take the organisers of the beauty contest to Court.
