Mauritius sacks French coach Patrick Parizon

Port Louis- Mauritius (PANA) -- The Mauritius Football Association (MFA) has sacked the national football team's head coach, Frenchman Patrick Parizon, following the squad's crushing 0-7 defeat to Egypt on Sunday in Port Said in a 2004 African Cup of Nations qualifier.
According to reports, the MFA Friday night met and appointed Akbar Patel, the current coach of Maurice Espoir, and Saoud Lallmahomed, an former coach of several league clubs, to guide the squad for now.
Desire L'Enclume, a national goalkeeper during the 1985 Islands Games and who currently works at the National Football Training Centre (CNFF), may be included as a member of the technical staff.
Mauritius is expected to host, in three months, the Indian Ocean Islands Games from 29 August to 7 September.
