Mauritius: Mauritius, China sign bilateral air service agreement

Port-Louis, Mauritius (PANA) - Mauritius and China have signed a bilateral service agreement that expands the connections between both nations and also benefits the African continent, according to the office of the Mauritian Deputy Prime Minister.

''Connection is the key to our development. This agreement allows us to become an exchange platform for the continent regarding financial services, medicine and education as well as a cargo hub,'' Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Xavier-Luc Duval said here Thursday.

Duval said the agreement, which is already in force, allows one or more air companies from each of the two countries to operate, henceforth, a total of 28 flights weekly on the China/Mauritius and Mauritius/China routes.
