Port Louis, Mauritius (PANA) - Seychelles national airline, Air Seychelles, on Tuesday posted its fourth year of profitability in a row with net profits worth US$2.1 million in 2015 on revenues of US$105.4 million, PANA learnt from official sources here.
In a communiqué, copy of which was made available to PANA in Port Louis, Air Seychelles said it carried a total of 522,873 passengers in 2015, which was 22 per cent more than in 2014.
Air Seychelles was established in 1978 and began long-haul service in 1983. The airline currently offers international flights to Abu Dhabi, Antananarivo, Beijing, Johannesburg, Mauritius, Mumbai and Paris.
Air Seychelles also offers more than 200 domestic scheduled flights a week throughout the archipelago, including domestic charter services.
According to the communiqué, Air Seychelles is a pillar of tourism, the island nation’s strongest and growing economic sector.
The airline maintains a strategic partnership with Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and 40 per cent stakeholder.
