Mauritanian President in Malabo for AU Summit

Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) - Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz left here Wednesday morning for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, to attend the 17th African Union (AU) summit, PANA learnt from official sources.

The Mauritanian leader chairs the African high-level panel on Libya, which has been in throes of a political crisis since early this year.

Though the theme of the summit is ''Accelerating Youth Empowerment for Sustainable Development'',
the Libyan issue is expected to be discussed.
