Malian president to attend AU summit

Bamako, Mali (PANA) – Malian interim president, Dioncounda Traoré, leaves Bamako on Saturday for the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, for the African Union summit of heads of State and donors' conference for Mali, official sources told PANA.

The Malian army, backed by the French and African forces, is for the time fighting the Islamist armed groups who seized northern Mali ten months ago.

The war against Islamist terrorists and drug traffickers requires huge financial amounts.
