Mali: UNDP offers equipment for Mali's disease control centre

Bamako, Mali (PANA) – Mali on Thursday received equipment worth  527 million CFAF from the UN Development Programme (UNDP) for the national disease control centre within the framework of fighting the deadly Ebola Virus Disease, according to sources at the Malian Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene.

The equipment included 10 mobile computers with one-year Internet connection and 10 printers, while the same donor promised to add on motorcycles and vehicles in order to improve the Ebola surveillance system and medical control at border check-points.

More materials and funds would be delivered in the near future to support Mali's efforts towards control and prevention of the Ebola epidemic, the sources said.
