Libyan PM says national unity government is open to everyone

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, Abdehamid Al-Dbaiba, stressed that his government stands open to everyone, indicating that its mission is to unify all institutions to preserve and protect Libyan capabilities in a way that guarantees the rights of all in the country.

Al-Dbaiba was speaking during a meeting on Monday with the Deputy Prime Minister, Hussein Attia Al-Gatrani, which was devoted, according to a press release, to the latest developments on moves to unify government institutions and complete the implementation of measures taken by the previous governments in accordance with the appropriate law.

It said that in addition to the organisation of general elections on 24 December, the proposal adopted by the Political Dialogue Forum during the political process, concerns a programme of the government of national unity to provide access to basic services to citizens, the improvement of their living conditions and the achievement of national reconciliation in the country.

MPs who accuse the government of favouring some regions at the expense of others have drafted a motion to convene a plenary session to hear the government on 30 August in the House of Representatives (Parliament) in Tobruk (East).
