Libya to host North African Ministers of Defence and Chiefs of Staff

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - A meeting hosted by the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation on Tuesday discussed coordination of preparations for a meeting of the Ministers of Defence and Chiefs of Staff of the Member States of the North African Regional Capability (NARC) to be hosted by Libya this year.

The meeting in Tripoli between the Ministry of Defence and the Interior and the North African Regional Capability Organisation discussed the arrangements for the 11th meeting of the Ministers of Defence, the 12th meeting of the Chiefs of Staff and the 15th meeting of experts from the NARC countries, according to a Foreign Ministry statement.

It said the participants stressed the importance of this meeting, which is taking place in the light of the security and political conditions facing the region, and the need to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the countries of North Africa in order to face up to common challenges.
