Libya: Arab League calls for quick formation of Libyan coalition govt.

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) – The Council of Arab League States has called for the quick completion of the formation of the national coalition government in Libya, within the framework of the deal signed in the Moroccan city of Skhirat, "so that it can immediately assume its responsibilities".

In a communiqué issued Sunday and quoted by the Libyan media on Monday, the Council of Arab League condemned the terrorist attacks perpetrated by the Islamic organization, Daech, in the Libyan western city of Zliten and the eastern city of Ras Lanouf, which left dozens dead.

Offering its condolences to the families of the victims following an emergency meeting of the Council's Foreign Affairs ministers, the Council said that the continuation of the Libyan crisis would endanger regional and international security.

The Council offered its solidarity with Libya, saying that the expansion and intensification of the Daech activities across Libya should force neighbouring countries and the region to accelerate the establishment of well-defined plans to save Libya from terrorism.
