Libya: Air traffic resumes at Maitigua airport, Tripoli

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Air traffic resumed Thursday morning at the Maitigua Airport, in the suburb of Tripoli, the Libyan capital, after two days of suspension following air strikes on the runway, the airport management announced here.

Two flights, one bound for Istanbul, Turkey, and the second for Amman, Jordan, were due to take off while two flights from abroad landed Thursday,  the airport management said on its facebook page.

According to Mohamed Turk, member of the crisis committee at the airport, the runway has not suffered any serious damage during air raids carried out Monday and Tuesday.
