Kerekou to attend Abuja AU summit

Cotonou- Benin (PANA) -- Benin president Mathieu Kerekou will attend the African Union (AU) summit slated for next Monday in Abuja, Nigeria, a Foreign ministry release confirmed here Friday.
It said the Abuja session would discuss a number of issues, among them the institutional transformation of the AU and the process to integrate the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) into the continental grouping.
The meeting will also examine a memorandum of agreement on the merger of the African Human Rights and Peoples Court (CADHP) and the AU Court of Justice, as well as the role of the Diaspora in the continental integration process.
