Kenya: Kenya Airways suspends flights to Blantyre after airport closure

Nairobi, Kenya (PANA) - Kenya Airways said Monday it had suspended all flights from Nairobi to the Malawian commercial capital of Blantyre, after the aviation authorities in the Southern Africa nation closed the airport in the city

The airline said passengers booked to travel to Blantyre from Monday (17 March) would be entitled to full refunds, but that re-booking could start from 24 March.

“This follows closure of the Chileka Airport in Blantyre for maintenance work on the runway,” the airline said in a statement obtained by PANA here.

The flights are scheduled to resume on 29 March.
