Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - The Ivorian president, Alassane Ouattara, on Tuesday appointed the former Minister of Justice, Jeannot Ahoussou-Kouadio, Prime Minister to replace Guillaume Soro.
Ahoussou-Kouadio's appointment was announced by the Secretary General of the Ivorian President's Office, Amadou Gon Coulibaly.
As Deputy Secretary General in charge of legal affairs of the Democratic Party of Côte d'Ivoire (PDCI), led by former President Henri Konan Bédié, Mr. Ahoussou-Kouadio was the number two man in the government of former Prime Minister Guillaume Soro.
Soro was Monday elected president of the Ivorian National assembly.
