Gunmen kill three in Nigerian state

Abuja, Nigeria (PANA) - Unknown gunmen Thursday killed three persons, including two policemen, following an attack on Gubio, headquarters of Gubio Local Government Area of Borno state in Nigeria's north-east, the police said.

Borno State Police Commissioner Bala Hassan, who confirmed the attack, told newsmen in the state capital, Maiduguri, that it happened on Wednesday.

Hassan said the victims included two policemen and a civilian, and disclosed that the police had launched a manhunt for the attackers.

''We have not made any arrest yet but we have spread our dragnet for them. We are combing the entire area in search of them. We will get them sooner or later,’’ he said.

On Wednesday, unknown gunmen attacked the Gum Arabic factory in Maiduguri, killing two Indians.
