Saturday marked Mandela’s work as a humanitarian and his 91st birthday and Presi dential Spokesman Mahama Ayariga said Mills commemorated the day because of the h igh regard he had for Mandela in view of the sacrifices he made to liberate Sout h Africans from the brutal apartheid rule.
“The President took a broom and swept; and collected the garbage himself,” Ayari ga told an Accra-based radio station.
Nelson Mandela has asked his fans around the globe to spend 67 minutes to do cha rity work.
