Ghana hosts 62nd IPDC Bureau Meeting

Accra, Ghana (PANA) - Ghana is to host the 62nd International Programme for the Development of Communication (IPDC) Bureau Meeting of the UN cultural agency from 30 April to 1 May.

The IPC serves as a platform for the Bureau to assume full responsibility for project selection, approval and allocation of funds from the Special Account, and plans the work of the Council session, according to the UN Educational, Scientific an Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) media channel.

The Bureau of the Intergovernmental Council of IPDC is composed of a Chairman, three Vice-Chairpersons, a Rapporteur and three other members.

The members of the Bureau who are representatives of Member States of UNESCO shall be specialists in the fields covered by the IPDC. They are elected by the Council and stay in office until a new Bureau is elected.
