Gendarmerie post attacked in western Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - The gendarmerie post in Houndé, in western Burkina Faso, was attacked on Thursday night by unidentified gunmen, security sources said.

"The gendarmerie suffered a terrorist attack on Thursday night in Houndé, in the Tuy province (west)," a security source told PANA on condition of anonymity.

An administrative source reported material damage.

The Burkinabe government has not yet reacted to this attack.
