Gambian President visits Turkey

Banjul, Gambia (PANA) – President Adama Barrow of the Gambia has left for Turkey on a working visit, his office announced on Monday.

According to a statement issued in Banjul by the Director of Press  and Public Relations, Office of the President, Mrs Amie Bojang-Sissoho, Barrow and his delegation left Banjul on Sunday ahead of his four-day working visit.

The Gambian leader’s visit to Ankara followed an invitation from his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

As part of the visit, the two leaders are expected to review the bilateral cooperation in the fields of security, trade, transport, education, health, tourism and communication, among others.
